District Librarian Valerie Brown-Kuchera is the K-12 library director. She has served in education for over 30 years. Her roles have included English teacher, gifted facilitator, college instructor, and library director. She obtained her bachelor's degree and master's degree in English from Fort Hays State University and her PhD in library and information science from Emporia State University.
